Access to Podiatry
Access to Podiatry is a program designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications required to progress to a degree in podiatry or related fields. The program is specifically aimed at individuals who do not have the traditional qualifications required for university entry, such as A-levels or equivalent.
The Access to Podiatry course covers a range of subjects, including anatomy and physiology, foot and lower limb biomechanics, common foot conditions, and patient assessment and management. It also includes modules on communication skills, medical ethics, and legal issues related to podiatry.
Upon completion of the Access to Podiatry program, students can apply for a degree in podiatry or related fields at a university. Podiatry is a healthcare profession that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions affecting the feet and lower limbs. Graduates of this degree program can go on to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health centres. They may also work in research, education, or policy-making related to podiatry.
