Access to Speech Therapy is a program designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications required to progress to a degree in speech and language therapy or related fields. The program is specifically aimed at individuals who do not have the traditional qualifications required for university entry, such as A-levels or equivalent.

The Access to Speech Therapy course covers a range of subjects, including linguistics, phonetics, psychology, neuroscience, and developmental disorders. It also includes modules on communication skills, patient care, and ethical considerations in speech therapy.

Upon completion of the Access to Speech Therapy program, students can apply for a degree in speech and language therapy or related fields at a university. Speech and language therapy is a healthcare profession that focuses on helping individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties caused by a variety of conditions, such as stroke, brain injury, developmental disorders, and voice disorders. Graduates of this degree program can go on to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and schools. They may also work in research, education, or policy-making related to speech and language therapy.
