Access to Physiotherapy

Access to Physiotherapy is a program designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications required to progress to a degree in physiotherapy or related fields. The program is specifically aimed at individuals who do not have the traditional qualifications required for university entry, such as A-levels or equivalent.

The Access to Physiotherapy course covers a range of subjects, including anatomy and physiology, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, exercise and rehabilitation, patient assessment, and communication skills. It also includes modules on ethical considerations in physiotherapy and legal issues related to patient care.

Upon completion of the Access to Physiotherapy program, students can apply for a degree in physiotherapy or related fields at a university. Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of physical impairments, disabilities, and pain. Graduates of this degree program can go on to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private clinics, and sports organisations. They may also work in research, education, or policy-making related to physiotherapy.
