Access to Criminology

Access to Criminology is a program designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications required to progress to a degree in criminology or related fields. The program is specifically aimed at individuals who do not have the traditional qualifications required for university entry, such as A-levels or equivalent.

The Access to Criminology course covers a range of subjects, including theories of crime and deviance, criminal law and procedure, policing, punishment and rehabilitation, and research methods. It also includes modules on critical thinking, communication skills, and ethical issues in criminology.

Upon completion of the Access to Criminology program, students can apply for a degree in criminology or related fields at a university. Criminology is a field that involves the study of crime, its causes, and its consequences. Graduates of this degree program can go on to work in a variety of settings, including criminal justice agencies, research institutions, government agencies, and non-profit organisations. They may also work in related fields such as social work, law enforcement, or forensic psychology.
